Objective: Refresh Hmodern Hmong’s logo into a minimalistic logo with new name, Celebrate Hmong.
inspiration
Hmodern Hmong’s logo is inspired by a pendant commonly found on Hmong jewelry known as xauv (sow) that is worn with traditional clothing.
out with the old, in with the new
The pendant element from the original logo was simplified to remove unnecessary distractions especially when scaled small. The negative space within the eclipse add an airy feel, transforming the silhouette into a focal piece when used against various colored backgrounds. The typeface used to display the identity name, Celebrate Hmong, comes from the Montserrat family that helps unify and define the minimalistic modern look.
